Jack Simpson claimed the title at WEC 2023 in Athens, Greece — the first international expansion of the championship. With 16 competitors from 8 countries, this was the year WEC proved it could scale beyond its Australian roots.
Jack's journey to the WEC title began in the UK's specialty coffee scene, where years of dial-in discipline and a passion for consistency made him a natural fit for the ISO 5495 paired-comparison format. In Athens, his extractions were described by judges as "flawless round after round."
